Spot Trender recently looked at an interesting aspect of the current AI copywriting trend, which is to look at how consumers respond to content when they already know it was written by an AI. Artificial Intelligence fooled consumers and was more readable, informative, and natural than human writers for only minutes versus hours.
Spot Trender had its marketers create 4 articles with the same outline prompts. They found that the quality of the content was similar and they saved time in preparing for the launch of a new product! They were randomly shown to over half a thousand people in a nationally representative survey. They were asked various questions concerning their opinion on the quality of the article they saw. Notably, they were asked whether they thought it was written by a human, whether it was relevant, interesting, funny, easy to read, and informative among other things.
All metrics showed that AI articles were better than those written by humans.
